Manchester man charged with mother's murder in Lancashire

A man has been charged with the murder of his mother, who was stabbed to death at her home in Lancashire.
The body of 51-year-old Bernadette Gallagher was found in the lounge of the property on Riverside, Bamber Bridge, on Sunday night.
A post-mortem examination revealed she died from multiple stab wounds.
Her son Kieran Gallagher, 32, from Manchester, has been charged with her murder and will appear before Chorley Magistrates' Court on Wednesday.
